ALL YOUNG PEOPLE WANT THE SAME: A SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY AND CLEAN ENERGY

The 16th International Summer School “NATIONAL ENERGY AND CLIMATE PLANS 2021-2030” will be held in one sustainable complex in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina named Čardaci. The class module of the School is entirely dedicated to key dimensions of the National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) Energy Union. The main objective of the Summer School is to train young professionals in interdisciplinary approaches to energy and climate change in their scientific work and research. This 16th edition of the Summer School is gathering 22 young professionals from CEI countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia), Kosovo and Spain. Young professionals will improve their knowledge of energy and climate planning through various in-class and online lectures, group assignment, teamwork, site visits, outdoor and social activities.

The Summer School is organized by Regional Education and Information Centre for sustainable development in South East Europe – REIC in collaboration with the Central European Initiative (CEI), German Development Cooperation – GIZ Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit and UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe (Antenna in Sarajevo). The Summer School is a project that has been implementing since 2005. So far, the School has been attended by about 400 young people who are educated and professionally active in the field of sustainable development, environmental protection and climate change.
