First REIC Summer School in Albania: „Low Emission Development Planning” (September 8-14, 2019)

The Summer School brought together 15 students for seven days of amazing collaboration, education and team work, generating huge energy and great baseline for further projects.

The Summer School was held in port city Durres, the second most populous city in the Republic of Albania. Students, with different background and same desire to gathering new knowledge, came from all parts of Albania but also from Kosovo and Germany. After lectures about sustainable development, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, energy poverty, citizen energy and Energiewende students were prepared to work on group project regarding low-carbon emission development in Albania.

The Summer School was organized by Regional Education and Information Centre for Sustainable Development in South-East Europe – REIC in collaboration with Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Office in Sarajevo responsible for the Foundation’s work in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and North Macedonia.
